Here are EIGHT nice expressions to say you are in control of someone or someone is under your control:

TO BE UNDER SOMEONE'S THUMB (has control)
- Your wife doesn't let you out after 8pm and texts you every 30 seconds? Wow, you really are under the thumb, mate!

TO HAVE SOMEONE WRAPPED AROUND YOUR LITTLE FINGER (put someone in a position to have complete control over them)
- You carry all the bags, you cook, clean, fetch your wife's slippers, make breakfast in bed, rub her back in the bath... Bloody hell, mate, she has you wrapped around her little finger. She's usinggggg youuuuu!!

TO WEAR THE TROUSERS IN THE RELATIONSHIP (who's the boss)
- Your wife is an ardent feminist, old friend. Does she wear the trousers in your marriage, then?

TO CALL THE SHOTS (the one who decides on important matters)
- I'm rather uneducated and just pathetic by nature so my wife calls all the shots. I just can't be bothered... I am always wrong anyway!

HAVE SOMEONE EATING OUT OF THE PALM OF YOUR HAND (someone does everything you want because they admire you so much)
- You have that new secretary eating out the palm of your hand. She does everything for you and she enjoys it! - Yeah, I know! How awesome!

TO RUN THE SHOW (dominate, be in charge)
- John runs the show in our department. We kind of let him because we just can't be bothered to argue with him.

TO PUT SOMEONE IN THEIR PLACE (when someone behaves inappropriately, you do/say something to make them seem less important and under your authority)
- If my students ever try to be sarcastic or challenge my teaching methods, ohhhh believe me, I will put them in their place! (syn: I'll bring them down a notch or two)

TO CRACK THE WHIP (use your authority to make someone obey)
- If I play too much Playstation or don't wash up, even cook the dinner, she will crack the whip every so often and force me to do things. Slave labour!
